Recent travels
We visited Australia recently, stopping at Dubai airport and getting out at Singapore for a few days on the return leg. The Dubai airport phones seem bright and shiny and new, Sydney provides you with a map of the city, Melbourne have a colour thing going on with pink and orange shelters and Singapore airport caters for the disabled:
An extra from GOMA, Brisbane…
Some random old photos
These are the last of my older photos that should have been uploaded long ago…
Istanbul, Turkey
We recently visited Istanbul and came across a real variety of phone boxes. I traveled here many years ago but it was the trip before my decision to photograph phone boxes on my travels so it was good to go back and make up for missed opportunities.

Me at the airport with the English phone box version in the background:
Tilbury Fort, Essex
We visited Tilbury Fort this afternoon, located across from Gravesend on the other side of the Thames. It’s described as one of the finest surviving 17th century forts in England. There is a small museum display in the Officers’ barracks which includes a phone set from WWII (I think)…
Manchester
I visited Manchester yesterday…
and here is a photo of street art that recently? appeared in Manchester, in the Northern Quarter. I think it was titled ‘Wonder woman’:
Updating Eastern Europe
Here are some oldies that hadn’t made it onto the site yet. (Suzette stars in Budapest and it’s me in the middle box in Krakow.)
