I’m obviously not the only one to see the phone box as an intrical part of social life. I love these art insallations discussed in an article on Weburbanist:

We spent the weekend in Copenhagen. There were very few phone boxes around which surprised me a little.

“Here is my picture of a San Francisco phone booth! While walking by I found it strangely compelling – with it’s shiny case and slot for quarters, so I took a pic. I had just seen the movie “Bullitt”, with Steve McQueen, where the hero makes many phone calls in exactly this type of phone booth…This particular phone was located in the Serramonte Shopping Mall, Daly City, South San Francisco on 28th Dec 2010. I was out shopping for lego :-)”

New model
I knew this blog would have to be dragged into the new millennium at some point. Today is the day. We took Couscous out for a walk at Allhallows, on the Thames just up from Gravesend. Instead of a ‘Phone’ box there was an ‘Internet’ box.
